【透過Coffee & Food Pairing,重新定義「咖啡」】

咖啡絕對不止是在早晨或午後飲用、只用作提神的飲料,晚間或全日任何時間其實都應該可以享受。又例如談及咖啡的味道,在很多人心目中的印象就是苦、濃、甚至澀。但嚐過精品咖啡後,大家會發現咖啡喝起來原來可以像果汁、果茶般帶甜、酸味,又或是充滿堅果、花果香氣。

基於咖啡豆的產地及處理方法等因素,咖啡的味道可以呈現出很不同的面貌。而因為這種多元的特性,以致咖啡可以發展出無限的可能性,在配搭食物時往往能夠碰撞出有趣的味道變化。

今個四月於PMQ元創方一連4天舉行的「The Coffee Agenda咖啡生活市集」期間,味道圖書館將聯乘人氣咖啡餐廳Nutmad,為各位帶來以精品咖啡與美食搭配的創新體驗。大家有機會感受不同的味道組合,如以蒜香慢煮黑毛豬配上Nutmad自家咖啡特飲 — 氣泡檸檬咖啡櫻桃茶,或將新舊交替的創意甜品 — 糖蔥餅.椰香米布甸搭上特濃咖啡等,細味咖啡與食物兩者如何讓相輔相成,互相提升整個風味表現。

咖啡、朱古力、酒的性質也相當接近。既然酒可以和食物搭配,當然咖啡亦可以。

過來親自感受咖啡和食物配搭展現出的獨特魅力!

Coffee is not only an energy booster that can help us through the morning but also something that is happening. When it comes to coffee flavours, many may immediately think of its bitter, bold and even astringent characteristics. However, having tasted speciality coffee, your impression may be swayed by its fruitiness and acidity in taste and subtle floral notes in the aroma.

Depending on the origins of coffee beans and brewing techniques used, the flavour profile of coffee varies. In other words, the coffee flavours are boundless. And this is what makes coffee and food pairing so intriguing. The limitless possibilities in taste inspire novel flavour combinations.

At the four-day caffeine-fuelled event 「The Coffee Agenda」, which will be held at PMQ from April 19 to 22, Taste Library will collaborate with the popular café and restaurant Nutmad to present a unique speciality coffee and food pairing experience. Imagine a medley of flavours created with uncommon ingredients. For instance, slow-cooked Ibérico pork with garlic herbs served with a glass of fizzy caffeinated lemon-peach tea. Or traditional Cantonese candy and coconut wrap matched with rich and espresso-like coffee. The pairing experience lets you understand the properties of coffee and how it can be complemented to enhance its flavours.

Coffee, chocolate, spirits such as whiskey all share similar flavour profiles. While spirits can be paired with food, coffee most definitely can too. Come join us at this speciality coffee and food pairing to better appreciate this caffeinated elixir.
